About

Product leadership for a world where machines, data and services become one ecosystem.

I am Oscar Gimeno, a global product leader focused on connected equipment, IoT platforms, AI-enabled services and digital transformation in professional B2B environments.

My work is about creating practical digital value around real-world products: helping users make better decisions, helping businesses create scalable services, and helping organisations turn technology into something customers actually use.

Oscar Gimeno

The Short Version

I connect business strategy, product thinking and technology execution to build digital ecosystems that create measurable value.

I have worked across commercial leadership, strategic accounts, digital systems, connected kitchens and IoT-enabled professional equipment. That combination gives me a practical perspective: digital transformation only matters when it improves the experience, strengthens the business and works in real operating conditions.

Connected equipment and digital ecosystem

From Products to Ecosystems

Much of my career has been focused on industries where physical products are at the centre of the customer experience. Professional kitchens, connected ovens, laundry equipment and service ecosystems all have something in common: the product must work, but the experience around it is where the next level of value is created.

Connectivity, data and AI can improve outcomes, reduce complexity and create new services. But only when they are designed around real users, clear business goals and the operational reality of each environment.

That is where I like to operate: between the machine, the user, the data, the service team and the business model.

What Shapes My Perspective

Business Ownership

I care about adoption, value creation, commercial impact and long-term scalability. A product is not successful because it exists. It is successful when it changes behaviour and creates value.

Digital Product Thinking

I work to turn ambiguity into direction: defining problems, shaping propositions, prioritising opportunities and aligning teams around what matters most.

Real-World Operations

Professional environments are demanding. Interfaces must be clear, services must be reliable and digital experiences must help people act with confidence under pressure.

Problems I Like to Solve

01

How do we make connectivity valuable?

Connecting equipment is only the beginning. The real challenge is turning data, visibility and remote capabilities into workflows and services that customers understand, trust and use.

02

How do we make AI practical?

AI becomes useful when it reduces effort, guides decisions and supports real tasks. I am especially interested in AI assistants, service guidance and intelligent product experiences that feel simple to the user.

03

How do we align business and technology?

Many ideas fail because teams are not aligned on the problem, the value or the execution path. I help connect strategy, customer needs, product direction and technical delivery.

04

How do we design for professional users?

Operators need clarity, speed and confidence. In professional environments, good UX is not decoration. It is operational performance.

How I Work

I like clarity, momentum and useful outcomes.

I believe good product leadership is not about having all the answers. It is about asking better questions, creating shared understanding, making informed choices and helping teams move in the right direction.

My style is pragmatic, collaborative and business-oriented. I value simple explanations, strong narratives, customer evidence and decisions that can survive contact with reality.

Beyond Work

Outside my professional role, I have been involved in handball refereeing and committee work. That experience has shaped the way I think about leadership, judgement, communication and decision-making under pressure.

It has also reinforced something I value deeply in product work: people perform better when expectations are clear, feedback is useful and decisions are made with fairness and confidence.

Let’s build useful digital ecosystems.

If you are working on connected products, IoT, AI-enabled services or digital transformation in real-world environments, I would be happy to connect.
